Decorah Community Food Pantry
The KAR Auto Group dealerships donated 2,039 pounds of food to the Decorah Community Food Pantry recently, which is the most food we’ve been able to supply in all the years we’ve been holding a food drive. We hope to continue growing this number as we encourage locals to bring food donations to our stores. Festival Sponsorships
KAR Auto Group supports Nordic Fest, an annual celebration of Scandinavian culture, food and heritage. Most recently, we lent a Ford F-150 Lightning to the setup crew so they could easily haul heavy equipment. Other local fairs we’ve sponsored recently include the Winneshiek County Fair, Mighty Howard County Fair and Allamakee County Fair.
Annual Vehicle Giveaway
We’re excited to participate in an Annual Vehicle Giveaway, where one member of the community gets to drive off our lot with a stunning car. The 2022 Winner was Justin Schnur, who got to take home a 2021 Ford Bronco Big Bend. We also want to give a shout out to KVIK 104.7 for hosting the giveaway this year.
Cars With A Cause
We’re raising money to put toward an automotive scholarship, so we hosted Cars With A Cause, a free entry car show. We welcomed drivers from all over to show off their unique vehicles. The event included prizes, as well as delicious food from local vendors. The 2022 People’s Choice winners were:

- 3rd Place: Bill Tieskotter
School Donations & Scholarships
Supporting the youth in our community is a priority at our Decorah car dealers. Each year we donate thousands of dollars to local athletic and booster clubs across Northeast Iowa and Southeast Minnesota. We also sponsor scholarships whenever possible to help students advance their educations.
