2025 Wagoneer Review in Decorah, IA
Jeep's full-size SUV, the Wagoneer, just received a mid-cycle refresh for the 2025 model year. While changes are minor, the Wagoneer continues to be a compelling option for large families in Decorah, IA looking for three rows of seating, powerful towing capacity, and luxury amenities. This 2025 Wagoneer review will breakdown the updates and help you decide if you should schedule a test drive of the new models at KAR Auto Group.
2025 Wagoneer Performance
Considering the 2025 Wagoneer S is a focus for Jeep, as is the Grand Wagoneer 4xe plug-in hybrid, we’re not expecting many, if any, changes for the standard Wagoneer apart from possibly some new color options. It was new for 2022 and picked up a long-wheelbase variant as well as its Carbide package for 2023. That same year it also went from a V-8 to an inline-six engine. Look for Jeep’s Hurricane 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six to return in the Wagoneer and long-wheelbase Wagoneer L. It comes linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission, and output should remain 420 hp and 468 lb-ft of torque. Most models should be offered with RWD or 4WD, but the top trim is available only with 4WD. We’ve only tested the Wagoneer L with the inline-six but it still managed to reach 60 mph in an impressive 5.5 seconds. That makes it quicker than the Suburban and Yukon.
2025 Wagoneer Interior
The Wagoneer is one of those rare vehicles that can accommodate comfortably full-sized adults in every seating position. There’s room for eight with the second-row bench or seven with the captain’s chairs. Of course, get the Wagoneer L for maximum cargo capacity.
2025 Wagoneer Infotainment
Standard features include a 10.3-inch cluster display and 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, three-zone climate control, and 10-speaker Alpine audio. Available upgrades include more screens for front and rear passengers and a head-up display. For the Wagoneer Series III top model, Jeep offers a 19-speaker McIntosh system.
2025 Wagoneer Safety Features
Like the Suburban and Yukon, the Wagoneer earns NHTSA’s four-star overall safety rating, one star shy of the administration’s top grade. It got maximum stars in front and side impact testing but received just three stars in the rollover resistance assessment. Automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and parking sensors are standard driver-assist features. Every Wagoneer also gets hill start assist and trailer sway control. Adaptive cruise control and lane keeping are standard on most models and available by package on the entry-level trim. A 360-degree camera is also available.
